We have consulted the Mayan calendar, had a chat with John Cusack, and returned with our prediction on games, habits, and hardware for the coming year. This time we take a scatter shot approach, going down a long list of topics and releases in hopes of sharing out quick thoughts on almost every 2012 issue on the horizon. Naturally we missed out on something you are eagerly awaiting. Let us know what that is in the comments section below. Again, happy new year and we look forward to discovering what the future actually holds.

Great podcast, as usual. However, being the Japanophile that I am, I was hoping that you'd do some more predictions about Japanese developers and the Japanese industry.
ReplyDeleteWill The Last Story ever come to North America? Will FF XIII-2 revitalize the FF franchise? Will Metal Gear Rising Revengeance be any good? I need your prognostication on these burning questions! ; ]
You mentioned it, so I have to post it..

Great podcast as always, but I must agree with Patrick Molloy, that actually you left out some of the most important games this years:
ReplyDeleteMetal Gear Rising Revengance, The Last of Us, Final Fantasy versus XIII, XIII-2,... Even though the first three are not sure to come this year, they are going to be really important this year and some of them might come this year.^^
Yea. California anthem right there.
ReplyDeleteThanks Patrick!
ReplyDeleteWe almost talked about these, we really did! Revengeance I'm not so sure about. It looks too over the top. FF XIII-2 I'm hopeful for, but I don't think it'll bring any new audiences to that story line.
Thanks Cylcone! See the above.
ReplyDeleteAlso, how did I forget The Last of Us? Naughty Dog on a new post-apocalyptic father-daughter survival story? I'm sold!
