  1. My drive home was serendipitously 1 hr 40 min & 48 sec. I just wanted to let you guys know that this was my favourite podcast you've done thus far, it had everything: Official Scott & Jorge Banter™, awesome fem dialogue à la Ms. Ligman, and my name pronounced and spelled correctly. Lookin' forward to another year of serious, but not humorless, analysis. Also, keep some Norwegians alive by playing The Journey Down, please.

  2. Great episode, you guys!

I couldn't quite make out the game name of the mechanically-driven puzzle solver. Space-something?

The game in question is SpaceChem: http://www.spacechemthegame.com/

  5. Thank you for mentioning The Jorney Down. I downloaded it for iOS yesterday, and I haven't been able to put it down, so I just finished it. Its a really great "classic style" adventure game. Made me think a lot about Grim Fandango - both because of the art and music style.

  6. I can't believe noone mentioned the Double Fine/2player productions Amnesia Fortnight (I know, I should have, right?) I was so captivated by that event, it has been so great watching the inner workings of the studio and how double fine approach game design. It was also super inspiring, I had the recorded live streams running on my 2nd monitor at work, watching/listening to people make games while I was sitting at my desk making games.

here are the streams incase you guys missed it http://www.twitch.tv/doublefine/

in the end I never got to play the final prototypes as I use a mac and they are windows only but I was mainly in it for the mini documentary by 2player, im finding that i'm feeling the same about the double fine adventure, sure I will play the game at the end and it will be super fun but im really in it for the making of... stuff.

so in conclusion, my favourite thing this year is the collaboration between 2player productions and Double Fine and their openness and documentation of a year in the games industry. fantastic.

  7. I just finished listening to this podcast and I just wanted to taunt you guys with this: I recently bought the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD remake for PS3 - and I have never played either of those games before ;-)

I finished Ico a couple of days ago and I absolutely loved it. So now I am very much looking forward to playing Shadow of the Colossus... But The Cave comes out tonight, so I'll have to play that first I guess...

    Best regards,

    Mads

  10. Great pick! It was fascinating to be able to watch real-time development. Only a group like Double Fine would do something so cool.
