Our summer is only a few months long, but in The Walking Dead, apparently it lasts at least 400 days. Maybe that's just Georgia... This week on the EXP Podcast, Scott and I hunker down in our tree-fort and discuss the latest episodic DLC from Telltale! As always, we start off this podcast spoiler-free, so jump on in without hesitation. When you're done listening, do come back and let us know in the comments: whose ankle would you shoot off, mine or Scott's?

Great episode, I have come back for some more walking dead catharsis as some of my friends still haven't finished the main game! (I know right?!)
ReplyDeleteIn Wyatts story I stayed in the car as I thought my friend was being a dick and after a moment of silence where he disappears into the fog and you get attacked by someone (not a zombie) through the window of the car and as I was trying to fight him off I thought I had run out of options to attack the assailant and accidentally hit the gas to drive off leaving my friend in the dark. I felt pretty guilty about that, even more so when I saw him helping a police man in the dark as I drove off in the still they show in the credits. i'm a terrible person.
the other main difference was only russell stayed behind at the end because he has such a traumatic experience with eddie so he didn't trust people anymore. poor guy, out there all on his own. I felt so sorry for him.
its so interesting how differently these small stories can go as when I played it I didn't feel like I was missing out on any major changes yet your playthroughs sound like a totally different game at times. good job telltale.
also thanks for pointing out all the origins of the zombies in this episode, I totally missed all the crossovers which seem so obvious now!
Wow, that makes me feel even worse for Wyatt and Russell. I'd be pretty interested to see a game in which at least one of the characters is isolated, as Russell is in your case. What would happen if they don't have anyone; no constant companion to trust? I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle handle it in the second season.
ReplyDeleteI love how absolutely different your Wyatt and my Wyatt can be. Ah, the beauty of Telltale's efforts.
